This article talks about a study that went on In Philadelphia its goal was to look at how dialect changed in that "speech community" over an amount of time .This article ties into our wix page because it is looking at how change can take place in a speech community. Also if anyone were to move into this area they would most likely develop this way of speaking as well. The study focused on the change in four major vowel sounds and how certain words would end up sounding different over a certain period of time. I found it very interesting for the most part and very relevant to our group.
